Businessman John Glennon, who was paid $700,000 from an inflated contract tied to a scheme involving serial conman Stuart Levine, escaped prison time on Wednesday.

Glennon, 60, was ordered to perform 320 hours of community service — eight hours a week for 40 weeks — and serve two years of probation. Glennon will carry out the service at the Illinois Small Business Development Center at Governors State University.
