*WE'RE BACK!
Due to a line problem at SBC, our website was invisible to the outside
world from the evening of Monday, September 13 through Monday the 27th .
Any e-mail that was sent to us bounced back. But wee still here, and the
site is now back on-line. We apologize for any inconvenience this
disruption may have caused.

*Website Updates
While www.ilcampaign.org was down, we continued to make improvements and
updates. The site now lists up-to-date career patrons for six statewide
officials, as well as the four legislative leaders. We have also refined
the profiles of all candidates for legislative and judicial office.

*Operation Safe Road Scorecard
While Cubs and White Sox fans look jealously at the Cardinals' steady run
for the post season, the scorecard that matters most to those of us at ICPR
is the Indictment/Conviction tally for Operation Safe Roads. With the
recent guilty pleas, the count now stands at 78 indicted, 67 convicted, and
56 sentenced. Eleven trials are pending. None of those who have been
indicted have yet to be exonerated.
