Chicago TV Stations Billed Over $5 Million in Fall Campaign
George Bush and John Kerry ignored Illinois and Alan Keyes failed
to give Barack Obama much competition, but don’t cry for the
TV stations. The lack of a tight top-of-the-ticket election
didn’t hurt ad revenue for Chicago-area TV. ICPR looked
at 8 Chicago-area broadcasters and found out which stations billed
the most, which aired the most spots, and which candidates and causes
ponied up the cash to pay for it all. For the details, click
here.
ICPR Sells Out
Actually, the warehouse is supposed to be inexhaustible, but we’d
love to get an e-mail saying they’ve run out. ICPR is
now offering T-shirts, coffee mugs, and other useful items featuring
our instantly recognizable boot logo. Just in time for the
holidays! As an added incentive, shop through December 20
and get $10 off orders of $50 or more by using coupon CPFESTIVE.

How Much Was That Supreme Court Race?
Still trying to figure out how a single seat on the Illinois Supreme
Court could cost over $8.5 million? So are we. But maybe
these charts will help. How all this money came into play
is a story that’s not over yet, but here are some graphics
that begin to outline the problem. Click
