Grand Victoria Casino/Elgin Riverboat Resort

The Grand Victoria Casino is a casino entertainment facility located in Elgin, Illinois. It was owned and operated by the Mandalay Resort Group, which merged with MGM Mirage in April of 2005. The deal was worth $7.9 billion. It is a member of the Illinois Casino Gaming Association, which coordinates industry advocacy and education on such issues as economic development, community service and responsible gaming. Before merging with MGM Grand Victoria took part in an intense lobbying effort to allow casino expansion by putting electronic poker machines in bars and racetracks as well as creating an additional casino license.

From January 1, 1993 through June 30, 2004, Grand Victoria Casino gave $266,600 to candidates for Illinois statewide constitutional and legislative office, 68% of which went to Republicans.
