MT. VERNON — The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce has spoken out in support of putting a Fair Map Amendment issue on the November ballot.
“We are asking citizens to sign a petition to put the amendment question on the ballot,” said Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Brandon Bullard. “There is an April 15 deadline coming up to get an amendment on the ballot.
* Legislative Update The General Assembly is back in session. It's an election year, and in theory the GA is supposed to take up only the budget and emergency measures in an even-numbered year. But already, they're bottling up good measures while advancing bad ones.
