Cindy Canary

Cindi Canary, executive director of ICPR, submitted written testimony to the Senate Redistricting Committee Monday, April 12, on the merits of two Constitutional amendments to revamp the legislative redistricting process. In her comments, which are below, Canary urged the General Assembly to approve a redistricting plan which would safeguard the line-drawing process from abuse by politicians, while also protecting minority voting rights and providing for transparency and public participation.
