Executive Director Job Opening at ICPR

The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform (ICPR) seeks an experienced, results-oriented professional to lead its second decade of growth and success in improving Illinois' political process.  ICPR is a non-partisan public interest group that conducts research and advocates reforms to promote public participation in government; addresses the role of money in politics; educates the public on political process and government; and encourages integrity, accountability, and transparency in government.

Cindi Canary Given the Abraham Lincoln Ethics Award

 Cynthia Canary, Director of the Illinois Campaign for Political Reform (ICPR), is the 2011 recipient of the Abraham Lincoln Ethics Award. James Faught, Chair of the Illinois Executive Ethics Commission, presented the award to Canary on March 29. 

Illinois redistricting process begins with Senate committee hearings & Illinois Campaign for Accountable Redistricting (ICAR) Draw the Line Illinois forum in Cicero

The Illinois Senate is kicking off the once-in-a-decade process of drawing new state House, Senate and Congressional district boundaries with five public meetings across the state, beginning March 28 and continuing into April. Residents are invited to tell members of the Senate Redistricting Committee about their communities and representational needs by speaking at the meetings, which have been scheduled for Chicago (March 28), Springfield (April 6), Kankakee (April 16), Peoria (April 16) and Cicero (April 19). Additional hearings will likely follow.
