ICPR Features a New Tool Illustrating the Need for Campaign Finance Reform

In almost every state in the country, most candidates raise the bulk of their campaign money from a few individual donors who give them $1,000 or more, or from non-party organizations (such as corporation and labor unions), and political parties. It doesn't have to be that way. This tool will let you experiment to see how a few changes might alter the balance of money in each of the states. (Provided by the Campaign Finance Institute)

ICPR's Statement on Redistricting

Help Overhaul Illinois’ Redistricting Process!

The Illinois Campaign for Political Reform believes Illinois’ redistricting process – the once-in-a-decade redrawing of representative district boundaries, including state legislative districts – needs an overhaul. In each of the last three decades, one political party has single-handedly drawn the state legislative district maps, without input from the public. As a result, district boundaries have not always been drawn to serve the public’s best interest, but rather, the party’s interest.
