Chicago Data Online
If you've tried to access our website in the past week and couldn't, try again: it's there.   The site was down for a brief time while we changed to a new Internet Service Provider.  Now that we're back, we're better than ever.  The site has new data for the Spring 2007 elections in Chicago, and State data should be up in the next week.

The FCC is Coming to Chicago: September 20

The FCC is holding its fifth official public hearing on media ownership issues in Chicago on Thursday, September 20th., beginning at 4:00pm.  The hearing is to be held at Operation Push National Headquarters in Dr. King's Workshop, located at 930 East 50th Street (corner of South Drexel Blvd.) in Chicago.  ICPR's Cindi Canary will be there to testify.  Start thinking now about what your testimony might look like!

ICPR Turns Ten: November 7

Mark your calendars!!! In celebration of ICPR's 10th birthday, Dawn Clark Netsch and Abner Mikva will host our 2007 fundraiser on November 7 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the McCormick Tribune Freedom Museum, located at 435 N. Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Come celebrate 10 years of political reform with cocktails, hors doeuvres, and a short program at this amazing new Chicago museum.  This years event will honor two Illinoisans Illinois Issues Executive Editor Peggy Boyer Long and Comptroller Dan Hynes for their outstanding achievements in public service to the people of Illinois.  We hope you will join us for this very special occasion!  Watch your mailbox for invitation, or direct any questions to Stephanie Gray or Nelly Viramontes.
